though the undead always leave me wanting
I will always be a willing host
there’s nothing quite like a proper haunting
no one as loyal as a silent ghost
when the dying leave and the living taunt me
only the undead will share a toast
to a soul in dismay
to a mind in disarray
to a life that’s gone astray
to the faithless that turn away
from the day
with open arms I invite the haunting
the lights are out, the stage is set
with an open mind and a bitter wanting
it only takes a thought to raise the dead
it’s so lifeless here when there’s no haunting
the gaping void of an empty host
